Practicing Gratitude in The Garden

Earlier this morning I was able to take a nice stroll through my garden. There was a soft rain, and the soil was still moist under my feet. Each step I was just in awe of the beauty that God created and gave us dominion over. All I did was plant a seed and God takes care of the growth we just have to nurture it. I'm not sitting their asking the plant to grow, it just does! The tomatoes, peas and okra are putting out new flowers, and the cucumber plant seems to have grown a quarter of a foot over night. Along with that, the onions have added more girth to their stalks. The abundance I was able to see while walking through my garden is honestly astonishing. It reminds me how important I am to God. He created all these beautiful plants, insects, and wildlife. He created all that and still felt it would be good to create us. He not only created us, but he gave us dominion and free will. Those are 2 qualities many people take for granted when we shouldn't or they are utilized in not so helpful ways. So I want to give you a moment to adjust that perspective. Anytime you see something beautiful in life, let alone nature, remember God created you. I don't know about you, but that just makes me feel so important and loved. Genesis 1:31

Many times, I think about the fact that God created all these things and still took the time to create me, to create us. So with that, make good use of your time, take a deep breath and enjoy the little things in life. All you need is a mustard seed. Let the garden be one of your teachers of gratitude and patience. May God Bless You Immensely, and if you're reading this on 4/20/25, Happy Resurrection Sunday.
